Valuable Asset Tracking

Why not compliment your fleet tracking solution by adding asset trackers to other valuable equipment such as trailers, caravans, plant and machinery, generators, skips and many more...

We offer a range of asset trackers with bespoke configurations to support the many different requirements that our clients come to us with. Most of the time our clients do not want to advertise that they have these devices so we have not mentioned any client names or provided pictures of the actual devices and what they look like.

Here are a couple of examples of very popular solutions:

Requirement A

The client wanted a waterproof asset tracker to report in once a day when their high value trailers were parked up but also wanted it to report in every time it started moving and every time it stopped moving along with regular updates when attached to a vehicle and was moving. Important that it could be hidden so a would-be thief would not be aware of it.

Solution

We provided an IP 67 rated rugged asset tracker that is powered by three AA batteries and configured it to do exactly the above. It can operate in extreme temperatures and can be fixed to the trailer with screws, bolts, cable ties or rivets in a place where it is not obviously visible. The client simply swaps out the batteries when they are getting low.

Requirement B

The client wanted a way to have an enhanced tracking solution for high value vehicles that were continually getting broken into and stolen as the thieves were initially finding the wired in trackers by using scanners, removing them and then driving off before anyone could get there to stop them.

Solution

We provided battery powered asset trackers that do not show up on scanners when in sleep mode. They have magnets so can be hidden in places inside the vehicles that you would not normally look. These were provided in addition to the hardwired trackers as a secondary unit so that the benefits of the fleet trackers could be achieved as well as having the ability to recover the vehicles if stolen. We configured them to wake up at specific times of the day and then when the obvious happens and they get stolen, we send a command to the device to stay awake the next time it wakes up, enabling the client or police to locate it immediately.
